MEDIA PROJECT - INDEPENDENT NETWORK FOR ENTERTAINMENT AND NEWS
The Media Project is a not-for-profit network, established to facilitate the growth of the entertainment and news sector. The network is focused primarily on providing support a resource that is useful and interesting - for example, in good news, fun facts and key points in the news. The website provides a point of contact between members of the news and professionals within, and complementary to, the media and news industry.Today we are seeing a constrant stream of media from all aspects offered by multiple organisations and there is already significant numbers already operating in this area, the necessity for this Media Project site was apparent. Media and news have changed dramatically in recent years, and so has the way people access it. Digital resources are now distributed through multiple channels so accessing them is much more flexible than it used to be. For the first time ever the largest proportion of media and news sector is being undertaken by small (often one to three people), independent sources and many of these work from home studios.
Media and news is more than just 'entertainment'. Through the Media Project, we want to harnesses cross-sector resources to accelerate and fuse together interest and new in multiple contexts (e.g., entertainment, education and health - good news to make your day). A key function of Media Project is to promote the value of 'positive thinking' across a large variety of domains; to support and media and news through 'fusion' for future strategic planning (bridging good news/positive insights with other resources, such as games, videos and discoveries).
